Rev Up. Reboot. Tune In. Those are the three guiding principles of Schweitzer’s new wellness spa, a 3,600 sq. ft. facility tucked into the village core. The finishing touches are being put into Cambium Spa ahead of its grand opening, and already the new facility is a welcome addition to Schweitzer’s growing list of amenities. By the time it opens, Cambium will feature five treatment rooms, infrared salt therapy saunas, sound loungers, reflexology stations as well as kombucha and beer on tap.

What sets Cambium apart from a typical spa goes beyond its refined interior, a complement to the new Humbird hotel with a mix of warm exposed timber and sleek modern touches. Cambium’s thoughtfully curated treatment menu stands out as best-in-class, helping Schweitzer guests Rev Up for their alpine adventure, Reboot after a day on the mountain, and Tune In to optimize their overall wellbeing.

“The Cambium experience is all about leveraging state-of-the-art techniques and therapies to create synergy with everything the mountain has to offer,” said Sabrina Wright, spa manager. “Many of our Schweitzer guests are active adventure-seekers looking to get the most out of their time on the mountain. Whether it’s skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, or exploring our summer biking trails, we’ve tapped into what our guests need to optimize, recover, and relax.”

Some of the latest technologies in performance and recovery are key differentiators in Cambium’s wellness offerings. For example, Cambium has partnered with Hyperice, incorporating tools like percussion massagers and leg compression sleeves to relieve tension and unlock sore muscles. Using a combination of infrared heat and dry salt therapy, a HaloIR sauna session is included with every massage treatment and provides 15 minutes of deep muscle relief and respiratory wellness bliss.

“Another cutting-edge therapy on the menu is a session in our sound lounger, helping to relax the nervous system and de-stress by pairing calming meditation music with vibration,” said Wright. “These are just some of the tools we’re able to incorporate based on individual needs, which our expert therapists will discuss with spa guests at the start of each treatment.”

From high tech tools to organic amenities, Cambium is a place for restoration and regeneration. In fact, that is why the spa has been named after a root layer found in trees and plants encouraging new growth. The name Cambium is a way to honor the Schweitzer heritage while also inviting guests, new and returning, to add a little “ahh” into their wellness journey.

“Winter or summer, Cambium’s proximity to the mountain makes you feel as if you can step out of your ski boots or hiking shoes and step into a better version of yourself,” adds Wright.
