Employee Housing
Schweitzer offers housing as a privilege to its employees on a limited basis. To be eligible for housing, employees must be full-time, working at least 30 hours per week, and an application is required. There are dormitory and apartment-style housing options available on a first come, first served basis.

Schweitzer Duplex

Rent: $300-$600/month
Description:Located at resort near Schweitzer Village. The duplex units are three-bedroom, two-bathroom units each with shared kitchen and living spaces. All rooms will have bunk beds and be shared by two employees. All utilities, including internet, are included in the cost of rent.

Description: Located in the City of Sandpoint. The house has 8 bedrooms, each with 2 single/bunk beds and shared by two employees. Each bedroom has an attached toilet/powder room (“half-bath”). Shared shower, kitchen, and laundry facilities. All utilities, including internet, are included in the cost of rent.

To being the process of securing employee housing at Schweitzer after your full-time job offer, please reach out to the Employee Housing Office to obtain a copy of the Employee Housing Application. Alternatively, you can download the Employee Housing Application.
How is housing assigned?
Housing is assigned based on employee's preferences indicated on the Employee Housing Application. In roommate situations, males will live together and females will live together. Specific roommate requests are given consideration and are generally accommodated.
Are pets allowed in Employee Housing?
Up to two pets (dogs and cats) are allowed in each housing unit at an additional cost of $20 per pet per month. Schweitzer does recognize ESA and Service Animals.
How do I pay rent?
Rent is due on the first day of each month and can be paid through check, cash, or credit card. Monthly rent will be pro-rated to the date if you move in or move out partially into the month.
