Yes, there are two pit toilets located right near the Hermit’s Hollow yurt. If you prefer a warmer facility we recommend you visit the restrooms in the main village before heading out to the tubing area.
Dress for the arctic! Okay, maybe that’s extreme. But really, it can get pretty cold in Schweitzer village. Be sure to wear lots of layers including warm footwear that will keep your feet dry, a warm hat, and thick gloves of course. Goggles, helmets, and other warm accessories are encouraged. Remember, you can always take layers off. Don’t forget the sunscreen!
*Please note, we do not allow ski boots on the tubing hill, but snowboard boots are good to go!*
If the sibling is at least 18, then yes! Our attendants are doing their best to look out for everyone’s safety and need a little help in making sure your little ones are paying attention to all the rules.
Sorry, each participant must ride in their own tube. However, we do have a few double tubes that allow two people to share a ride. If conditions are appropriate, our tubing crew will also allow you to “chain together” tubes so that you can take a cruise as a group. Please check with the crew and they’ll show you how to do this.
Sorry, no. However, we have beer for sale in the yurt. You can enjoy your adult beverage in and around the yurt, but will not be allowed to bring your alcoholic beverage into the tubing area. Visibly intoxicated guests will not be allowed to tube. Remember, this is a family friendly area!
