March 2, 2024 7:30 AM - 3:00 PM

various skis all displayed together

MegaDemo Day

At least 20 brands will be represented with over 400 pairs of skis and boards! Ski and snowboard representatives will be bringing gear for the 2024-2025 season for you to try before anyone else in this market. You get to be the gear tester and let all your friends know what great things are happening next year! The best part is that 100% of the proceeds will go directly to PAFE - the Panhandle Alliance for Education. Simply put, you get to try great gear and all the money goes toward education in the Lake Pend Oreille School District.

Register

Here is how it works: You purchase a ticket and that is your access to the demo area. You shop around, talk to reps and pick out the ski or board that you would like to try. The certified reps fit the bindings to YOUR boot. Then you head out on the mountain for an hour to test it out on the terrain you are comfortable on. After a couple of runs, ski or ride back to the demo area to return your gear and do it all again! There will be a plethora of next year’s skis and boards to try and potentially purchase at the end of the day. How cool is that!

VENDOR LIST

Skis: Atomic, Armada, Blizzard, Dynastar, Head, K2, Line, Nordica, Rossignol, Salomon, Stockli, Volkl. *subject to change*

What do I need at check-in?

You will need an ID (driver’s license or Schweitzer Season Pass) that matches your registration. You will need your boots if you are a skier. Please note that we will be inspecting boots and measuring sole lengths to assure safety standards are met. If you are under 18 you will need a parent or guardian to sign a release for you. Using your season pass as an ID will save lots of time in line!

Can I register and then let other people use my demo card?

Sorry, but your demo card is not transferable.

How long can I keep the skis or board when I demo them?

We recommend trying them for a couple of runs so everyone has the chance to try lots of skis and boards.

Can I purchase a discounted lift ticket at the resort?

Sorry – the discounted tickets are only available as part of the pre-registration combo package - another reason the complete your registration early!

Can my friend, spouse, child etc. go into the demo area with me?

Yes, the demo area is open to the public throughout the day to engage with reps, but demos are limited to registered participants.

Can I demo boots and poles?

We will not have boots or poles for rent as part of MEGADemo. You are responsible to provide your own boots in good condition and you will need to bring your favorite poles. There are no boots available to rent on the mountain.

Will you store my equipment and gear bag for me?

Sorry but we do not have the space or security to store your gear. Please use the ski check near the Ski and Ride center for your skis. Lockers are available for rent in the Lakeview Lodge.

Will you have Snowboards, Telemark Skis or Nordic skis to demo?

We are very excited to have 7B Board Shop setting up demos with several snowboard manufacturers. At this point we do not have any Telemark or Nordic Skis in the quiver.

Will I get a ticket in the mail?

You will get an email confirmation that has your ticket attached. Just print it out and bring it with you to check in in the Caribou Room Friday between 3:30 and 5pm or Saturday between 7:30am and 10am.

What if I lose my email or printed ticket?

No worries. We will have a guest list at check in. However, it can take a little longer so bring your ticket!

My plans have changed, can I get a refund?

We are not set up for refunds but you can change your registration to someone else's name and information. All changes must be made by February 27th at 7am since we will be making up the demo cards at that time.

What if the mountain has to close due to COVID-19 restrictions?

You will be offered a full refund if Schweitzer is forced to close due to COVID-19 (you will also have the option to donate your registration fee to the Panhandle Alliance for Education).
