Schweitzer’s Winter Season Hitting Full Stride

202”of Snowfall for the Season & Record Singe Day Visitation

With just under 2 months to go in the winter season, conditions are optimum for exploring all 92 runs and 10 lifts at Schweitzer Mountain Resort. “We received 121” of snow in the month of January and thanks to consistent colder temps, the mountain has stayed in great shape” says Marketing Manager, Dig Chrismer. “From the South Bowl Chutes all the way over to Phineas’ Forest, coverage is good, giving you the opportunity to ski the entire mountain with confidence.”

Schweitzer’s two new lifts, Cedar Park Express and Colburn Triple, have been warmly received this season. “It’s been fantastic hearing all the positive comments about the improvements to the terrain off of Cedar Park,” adds Chrismer. “Our goal was to open up those runs and glades for our more intermediate skiers & riders. I think we’ve managed to do that beyond all our expectations.”

“We just enjoyed an incredibly busy Presidents’ week thanks to new snow and sunshine,” says Schweitzer CEO Tom Chasse. “Our revenue for the weekend outpaced budget by 24% and Sunday, February 16 was our single busiest day on record with just over 6600 skier visits. Our guests had near-perfect conditions and we were thrilled for them and for us. It’s been a great season so far despite the slow start in December.”

As the weather starts its transition into spring, Schweitzer is also pleased to announce the return of the Spring Fling Pass. “There are a lot of people who want the opportunity to explore more of Schweitzer in March and April. This pass makes that possible,” says Chrismer. “Skiers & riders can purchase the pass for just $99 until March 8 (then $139 from March 9 on) and ski or ride any day from March 9 until the end of the season. Plus, the $99 can be used as a down payment for a full 2020/21 winter pass. It’s a win-win for everyone.”

All of Schweitzer’s 2020/21 winter passes, including the 2020 Spring Fling Pass, will be on sale starting March 1, 2020. For more details on pass pricing and information about the Spring Fling Pass, visit www.schweitzer.com.
