Hikes, Bikes, and Brews
Taking place one Friday a month, Schweitzer's Activity Center invites you to hike or bike your way to Rowdy Grouse for an afternoon of sunshine, beer, and the great outdoors!
- August 10th - Kid Safe Axe Throwing! Join us for our final Hikes, Bikes, and Brews event with a friendly kid safe axe throwing competition with costumes, prizes, and good vibes! Come dressed as a Lumber Jack and get 5 free water balloons!
No sign ups, just show up between 12pm and 3pm and have fun!
We will have snacks, bottled water, soda, and ice cold adult beverages for sale!
The easiest way to get to the Rowdy Grouse is to hike or bike up the Service Road, which is approximately 1.4 miles, taking between 40-50 minutes to hike. An alternative is taking the Great Escape chairlift to the summit, hiking down the Great Divide, using the Nature Trail and Colburn Lake Connector Trail. View the Summer Trail Map for more information.
How is it kid safe? We will be using plastic and foam axes with a bristle target that the whole family can enjoy!
